The article is devoted to problems of law enforcement and justice. Theauthor cites the results of his researches of professional legal consciousness and legalpractice. On the basis of the obtained facts the author demonstrates nonlegal methodsused by the judges for the motivation of convictions. The concept of truth in theadministration of justice is analyzed in the article. The author with specific examplesindicates fundamental differences between the legal professional and the people’ssense of justice.
