| Annotation | The author maintains that the five Nordic countries form a legal family. They have a common legal culture, and most of them a language which they all understand . Since 1872 they have enacted uniform statutes in civil law matters. They held regular Nordic Lawyers Meetings and have Nordic law reviews. They will remain a legal family even when an integration of the laws will bring the European legal systems closer together. |
