| Annotation | The article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the . It is noted that Climate Smart Agriculture is an internationally recognized approach that contributes to ensuring food security, the effective functioning of agricultural production in the context of climate change and reducing its negative impact on the environment. Such economic practice is aimed at solving three main tasks: 1) a stable increase in agricultural productivity and profitability; 2) its adaptation to climate change; 3) reduction and/or elimination of greenhouse gas emissions. Accordingly, the legislation regulating production relations in the agricultural sector of the economy, including the use of natural resources by agricultural producers, should be built on the principles of Climate Smart Agriculture. Taking into account the above, it is concluded that it is necessary to draft and adopt a Concept for the development of Climate Smart Agriculture, as well as a long-term National Target Program for Agroecological Development of Ukraine, which should be based on the above Concept. It is argued that it is important to encourage business entities to implement methods of Climate Smart Agriculture. Given that their application depends on local socio-economic and climatic conditions, it is proposed to draft special scientifically based recommendations for farmers, conduct explanatory work with them, etc. |
